DJI unveiled during IFA 2024 its lightest and most compact drone yet, the DJI Neo, designed for effortless vlogging and daily life recording. Weighing just 135g, the palm-sized drone is fully operable without a remote control, making it incredibly user-friendly. It features AI subject tracking, QuickShots, and the ability to shoot ultra-stabilized 4K video, with a flight time of up to 18 minutes.
The Neo can be controlled via its mode button or paired with the DJI Fly app, offering additional features like virtual joysticks and voice control. It also supports accessories like DJI Goggles and RC Motion for an immersive flying experience. A Wi-Fi connection allows the Neo to be controlled from up to 50 meters, while pairing with the DJI RC-N3 remote increases the range to 10 kilometers.
Equipped with a single-axis mechanical gimbal, RockSteady, and HorizonBalancing stabilization, the drone captures smooth footage even in windy conditions. Its 1/2-inch image sensor snaps 12MP stills, while six intelligent QuickShot modes, such as Dronie and Helix, create dynamic, professional-quality shots.
The Neo offers 22GB of internal storage, supporting up to 40 minutes of 4K/30fps video or 55 minutes of 1080p/60fps footage. Audio recording is available through the DJI Fly app using the phone’s built-in microphone or DJI Mic 2. The app also includes templates and effects for quick video editing and sharing.
With a retail price of €199, the DJI Neo is available for order online, and it’s Fly More Combo is priced at €349. DJI also offers DJI Care Refresh, for replacement services in case of accidental damage.
