Glow Recipe advent calendar 2024 UK: What we expect

The Glow Recipe Advent Calendar 2024 is yet to be unveiled but we’ve listed what we’re expecting from this year’s calendar plus what was in last year’s version

UPDATE: While we wait for the 2024 Glow Recipe advent calendar to launch, the Korean brand has launched two gift sets that could effectively be substitutes for the Glow Recipe calendar.

The first is the 2024 Holiday Vault. It contains eight of Glow Recipe’s bestsellers, plus two hair clips, for £180.

This includes:

• Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser (150ml)
• Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner (150ml)
• Cloudberry Bright Essence Toner (75ml)
• Guava Vitamin C Bright Eye Gel Cream (15ml)
• Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum (30ml)
• Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops (40ml)
• Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream (50ml)
• Avocado Ceramide Recovery Serum (30ml)

The second is the Glow Recipe Glow Library set.

It’s almost identical to the Holiday Vault in that it contains the same eight Glow Recipe bestsellers and clips, but costs a whole pound less…

Granted neither are as good as a 12-day calendar, which is what Glow Recipe sold last year, but you could treat it like a calendar or use it to make your own calendar. Alternatively, you can just treat yourself to eight Glow Recipe icons.

If you’re into skincare, and especially K-Beauty, then you’ll understand the hype around Glow Recipe.

Renowned for its fruit-based serums, creams, lip balms, and more that hydrate and nourish the skin, this range is well-loved, but also expensive. Such great skincare comes at a price.

This means that getting Glow Recipe for a discount, no matter how small, can’t be sniffed at and is why were so excited last year when the Korean brand released its Glow Recipe Advent Calendar.

Worth $95, the 12-day calendar was being sold for $75 when bought directly from Glow Recipe and what’s more, it was possible to have it shipped to the UK.

We’re still waiting to hear about what’s inside the Glow Recipe Advent Calendar 2024 or even when it will go on sale but we have taken some educated guesses below, and we’ve explained what was in last year’s calendar to help you decide if this year’s model will be worth it or not.

Glow Recipe Advent Calendar 2024

Why we wait for the Glow Recipe Advent Calendar 2024 release date to be officially announced, we’ve taken some educated guesses about what it might cost and what is likely to be inside below. We’ll update this page once we have official confirmation so take this with a pinch of salt!

• Glow Recipe Advent Calendar 2024 price: Based on last year’s price of $75, and taking inflation into account, we’d expect this year’s calendar to cost $80+.
• Glow Recipe Advent Calendar 2024 value: To account for inflation, we’d expect the worth of the Glow Recipe calendar to stay around the $95 mark.
• Glow Recipe Advent Calendar 2024 release date: Last year the Glow Recipe calendar went on sale quite late – early November – so we’d expect this year’s version to arrive around the same time if not a little earlier, given last year’s sell-out success!
• What’s inside the Glow Recipe Advent Calendar 2024? Don’t expect full-size products, most will be travel-sized or minis and you’ll likely find heavy hitters like the bestselling Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops, Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream and more. Given that the Sun Glow version of the Niacinamide Drops were released in the past 12 months, we’d expect to see them. We may also see the Cloudberry Essence Toner for the same reason.
• Where to buy the Glow Recipe Advent Calendar 2024? Last year’s Glow Recipe calendar was sold exclusively from Glow Recipe’s website and we’d expect the 2024 version to be the same.

Glow Recipe Advent Calendar 2023

Is the Glow Recipe Advent Calendar worth it?

So, you’re eyeing up the Glow Recipe Advent Calendar and wondering if it’s worth it?

For $75 – £61 – you get a mix of full- and travel-size Glow Recipe favourites worth $95.

This includes the Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment that’s pretty much a sleepover for your face, to cute pink hair clips.

This isn’t the greatest discount but if you’re a Glow Recipe fan, you may well be tempted.

The downside is that this discount will likely be eaten up by the time you’ve paid fees and customs to have it shipped over from the US.

When we bought the calendar we paid $90 (£76), and that was with a 10% off code.

The breakdown was as follows:

• Subtotal: $67.50
• Standard Rate: $15.16
• Shipping: $8.30
• Total: $90.96

If we didn’t have the 10% off code, this would have been at least $98.46 although realistically the fees may have been higher if the overall cost was higher so it might have even tipped over the $100 mark.

That said, even at that higher price, this still means you can get hold of 10 Glow Recipe products for £80.

So, is it worth it?

If you’re into Glow Recipe and live in the US, this calendar’s a pretty decent deal. If you’re in the UK and you’re a big Glow Recipe fan, we still think it’s worth the investment. If you’re in the UK and only have a passing interest in Glow Recipe, this calendar won’t be great value for you.
