Paul's Hardware
  1. Pungent? 😂😂😂

  2. Wasn’t expecting the tongue-in-check LMG shade 😂😂

  3. The Intel thing might be really cool. If anyone in the world might match TSMC it is Intel fabs and may be an overall better direction for the company. Excited to see where this might lead.

  4. NH-D14 STILL LIVES ON!!

  5. Tech news isn’t always broken though…

  6. Indeed, Joe and Paul's complementary senses of humor enhance the other, to the point that either alone feels incomplete. Joe, are you pro-pineapple on pizza? My man!

8:00 and 11:19 had me laughing. Thanks, gents. Have a good week.

  7. Giving me beer memories. I remember when I visited The Alchemist long ago when they were in a tiny little space and getting cans was hard unless you went mid-week during canning days. Fresh off the line.

  8. In a world where I could get tech news from a myriad of sources, I am always excited to see your take Paul. Having pondered the why, I really do think it is your unique style of delivery – it is informative but fun, with humor ranging from sardonic to salacious. Paul's Hardware: The Spiciest Tech News in Town!

  9. Nothing in this new lineup of GPUs are economically priced below 500 bucks. Way to shill bruv, these companies need you boosting their crappy prices.

  10. How is forcing junk software on people so they can get a driver not be Nvidia sucking again?
Unless they offer a Driver only download on the website. Perhaps they don't need to have your details as they can individually ID you by you Computer's Fingerprint.

  11. xx60 – $249 / xx70 – $399 / xx80 – $699…….. anything more… you are getting ripped-off.
Don't accept those miserable 4000 series prices, you're getting price gouged.
Tell Nvidia to shove their margins where the sun doesn't shine.
Accept their prices and you'll suffer the consequences next generation. 💸💸💸💸💸

  12. Biggest problem with GeForce Experience for me was that it was a resource hog. Hopefully the new app fixes that. Still prefer downloading drivers manually, though.

  13. No one should be surprised about Intel splitting it's products division and foundry. They've literally been saying that was their intention for over 2 years. It just makes sense if they're catching up to TSMC on cutting edge nodes. While TSMC can get that stupid level Apple money for bleeding edge nodes with poor yields, when Intel shifts their processors to a new node it needs to be running at full speed to fulfill their needs. Selling off that capacity just makes sense and acts as a pipe cleaner to tune it for when they need to shift their processors to it. Personally I think they should be using their 20a and 18a for GPUs as Arc obviously needs far less capacity.

  14. Love the pizza and what it said on it!

  15. Always love watching these segments you put out. Thank you!

  16. I always remember how you smashed that little friendly poor spider who was thinking that you are his friend for his entire life 😢😢

  17. geforce is utter intrusive fps stealing trash ! dont want it never did

  18. 7900 GRE actually is pretty tempting, if it's priced reasonably, I may end up getting one instead of a 7800 XT.

  19. thanks paul, i would love to see you build in the Tower 300!

  20. I redeemed a game from GOG and it loaded when I first downloaded it, but now I double click it and nothing happens. I did change a few of the environmental variables like I was told online. Nothing anyone have an idea?

  21. this Your fingerprints can be recreated from the sound of swiping a touchscreen is a hypothetical attack not a real thing

  22. Is there really a selling point for ray tracing at 1080p? The 4070 Super isn’t really a high frame rate 1440p or 4K card, so it would really be a 1080p focused (especially when you consider it’s only 12 GB). Just wondering…

  23. This show is still consistently better than eating thermal paste.

  24. The AMD bias on youtube is insane.

  25. It's still the same GFE with some new features added and a freshened-up UI. I uninstalled it after playing with it for a few hrs. It's still heavily proprietary and hasn't really changed much.
There are only about 15 NCP settings available so far and they are the basic ones from Manage 3D Settings tab so a bit underwhelming but at least it has an option that launches the current NCP.

The updated performance OSD is the best upgrade so far, but it wasn't enough to make up for the loss of system resource from the unnecessary bloat within the app. It feels more like I'm visiting a NVidia website than it did previously.

No Auto OC yet either which was the only thing I used on original GFE .

Without the ability to have full tuning control of my GPU I'll never download it again until it does. They use the Auto OC function from Afterburner in the current version so why not give consumers all the functions or at most develop a new OC tool from it? Kinda Feel encouraged to use the one click GF game optimisation settings which analyses your hardware and leverages dlss/aa, upscaling, frame gen and in-game settings to give you the best RTX visual experience and minimise your carbon footprint. All good things but for fast paced online multiplayer gaming the hit to visual clarity is a disadvantage even at 1440p.

That however is my situation, more of an older gamer that likes to tinker around with my Pc.

If you are into streaming and content creation and multimedia, then it has made nice inroads towards those areas and it feels like they've created a one stop shop for all your needs. Its like a suite of creativity tools.
Also, if you don't care for overclocking and want the full NVidia in-game graphical experience then the slightly updated one click game optimization setting is still quite useful and includes most games out there.

Overall, not a huge improvement over the previous version but a nice update non the less.

  26. You know what I like about liquid cooling? Way less noise.

  27. I was considering AMD for my next GPU as a linux user, but after the H+ and H++ connector nonsense. Its all but a given when I retire this 3080.

  28. the NVIDIA HDR control omfg works so good and puts a nice new polish on games

  29. When you watch this channel your mood will increase 1000% follow the channel subscribe like boss thank you for everything i love you guys.

  30. An impressive feat for a company that is shafting consumers harder than the Kelloggs CEO, is more like it.

Also, Intel got beat so badly that they're literally offering production space to AMD.

  31. The reason Intel is splitting is because of the issues with Taiwan and China…. eventually China is gonna mob Taiwan and essentially stop TSMC from making cpu's/gpu's for us. Basically all US brands will probably end up switching to Intel foundry in the end. Not to mention the TSMC foundry I remember reading was being build in Texas….

And I told people AMD was gonna be dropping new cpu's and gpu's this year, by the end of the year. So new AM5 cpu's and new RDNA5 gpu's…. while Nvidia wont have their 5000 series until middle next year.

  32. Ain't nobody gonna want 6/8 pin PCIE connectors when GPUs need 1200Ws of power. Everyone will take 2x 12VH connectors over 8-12x 8 pins.

  33. That 7900gre is going to be worse overall for raytracing, by a lot. Why would you use a product with a sub par feature, even if it is slightly cheaper??
